Are you a Target RedCARD member yet? If not, you will want to sign up. It is not a credit card, it’s a reward card that functions as a debit card.
You can sign right up at any Target and answer a few questions on the card machine, i.e. your name, address, the last four digits of my social security number, and then you give them a blank check to run through the register to connect to your checking account. You will be given a receipt that has a temporary code to scan until you receive your card and I received mine within 7 business days. You can use it right away and save 5% on your purchase, so if you were planning on using your debit card to make the purchase why not sign up and save 5% on every purchase!!
**IMPORTANT: This is a debit card — it is linked to your bank account. There is NO line of credit. As with any debit purchase, it comes right out of your checking account.
Here’s is what the Target REDCard has to offer. .
1. 5% back on every purchase – You get 5% off your total purchase when you use your REDcard and that includes online purchases!! Again, remember this is a debit card and will come directly from your checking account.
2. Get FREE shipping at Target.com – Every time you shop at Target.com and use my REDcard, you will get FREE shipping on ALL PURCHASES, no minimum required. In addition, you get an extra 30 days for RETURNS!
3. You can also get up to $40 cash back at checkout. Again, remember, this comes directly out of your checking account so make sure you have the funds available:)
4. Donate money to your child’s school ~ Target allows REDcard holders to donate up to 1% of REDcard purchases to your school of choice, whether it is your child’s school or a neighborhood school. All you have to do is visit Target.com and click on the REDcard at the top to get started.
