If you’ve been watching the news you have heard that chicken is one of the items that will be going up 30% due to the heat wave/drought. Well, no need to fret, because Sautter’s has it on sale this week for only $1.99/lb.
You can freeze meat up to one year so I strongly recommend stocking up now while it is on sale so you don’t have to worry when it goes up 30% more in a month or so. This is an amazing price.

**TIPS TO FREEZING MEAT**
1. Package your meat in serving portions suitable for your family. Large steaks are best stored individually, allowing for quick defrosting.
2. Remove the meat from its cellophane packaging tray.
3. Wrap the meat in plastic wrap as tight as possible, removing all of the air. Then wrap the plastic-covered meat in aluminum foil, removing all of the air with a tight wrap and folding the edges.
4. Wrap meat in family-sized portions in the previous steps. Place the meat in a resealable freezer bag. Seal most of the top, leaving a small hole on one side. Then remove as much air as possible, and fully seal the bag.
5. Label the meat that is in each package and date it.
Now you can freeze for up to one year – so STOCK-UP
