URGENT OUTREACH OPPORTUNITY

Okay I come to you all with a heavy heart. I am not sure if you saw this on the news yesterday but one of our local Humane Society’s may have to shut down due to lack of finances. My 11 y/o son, Isaiah, has been so upset about this. He got little sleep last night and this afternoon said “Mom, can’t we do a fundraiser?” “Can’t we do a spaghetti dinner?” Okay, so I called the Humane Society to see exactly what the needs are and they are donations of food and or monetary donations. We are working right now to secure a place to do a Spaghetti Dinner at, would anyone be willing to help. It would be a Saturday early evening or Sunday after church type of event. It would be in the next few weeks as they need the finances ASAP. I also am challenging everyone to please DONATE $1 for this cause. Most of us can afford $1 to save the lives of pets. . . It doesn’t seem like much but we have THOUSANDS OF FOLLOWERS on this page and if everyone participated, that would an overabundance for them. Another amazing day. . serving the homeless/less fortuante. This is just such a huge blessing and I love it. From the 3 woman in the kitchen, Regina, Carol, and Othella (spelling sorry). . they are like family now and that is just two times helping. To the people who come in to eat. It is nice to “serve” them and show them the Love of Christ!!

Next date is Sunday, February 17th. We will be serving meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, green beans, mac & cheese, salad, bread and butter, and of course desserts. I hope more of you get involved. I will be posting a signup later this week. The care packages were a huge success, but we need more men stuff next time. . like men’s deodorant. We served 102 people, 42 to-go boxes were taken to the Cherry Street Mission and 60 people came and ate at the church. THANK YOU JESUS!!

GOD IS GOOD. . ALL THE TIME!!

We are friends with a family who just contacted us with this request. They own a house in Toledo that unfortunately burnt down yesterday. The family that rents the house did not have renter’s insurance and lost EVERYTHING. It is 3 days before CHRISTmas and they have NOTHING!! They have two boys, ages 12 and 8!! When I say they have nothing, I mean they have nothing. Can you please help? The Beddoes Family (our friends who owned the house) are trying to help this family and requesting the following items. . socks, shoes, clothes, toys, hats, gloves, and other household items. ANY TOYS FOR THE BOYS TO BE ABLE TO HAVE A CHRISTmas!! This is truly such a tangible way to be the hands and feet of Jesus!! Can everyone spare one item or even $5 to donate to this family.
