We are encouraging all to mark Friday, March 11, 2016, as Anti-bullying Day, also known as Love One Another Day. To mark the occasion, people are encouraged to show their support of anti-bullying awareness and education in schools and workplaces by wearing red clothing for love.
“It is a great opportunity to join together in opposing bullying, supporting inclusion, and promoting a better quality of life for everyone.”, said Crothers.
The goal: encourage communities to work together to stop bullying and cyberbullying by increasing awareness of the prevalence and impact of bullying on all children of all ages.
We are trying to have our recent incident turned into a positive. Otherwise, the bullying wins out. We’re trying to bring awareness. Let’s have a ‘love one another day’ or a ‘be kind to one another day.’ That overshadows the negative.”
To help people share in the “Wear Red Day” experience, We are asking individuals, groups, schools, and companies to post photos of themselves wearing red. “The shared social media experience will show all of us that we are connected across workplace, hometown, school, or organization and will do what we can to be united against bullying and united for kindness, love, acceptance and inclusion. Please be sure to use the #LoveOneAnother – visit and like our FB page at LoveOneAnotherEveryday. Also, please grab our profile picture of the hands in the shape of a heart to show your support.
Thanks everyone, can’t wait to see all the positive results of this day:) #Loveneverfails #LoveOneAnother #Kindnesswins
