Fridays are officially declared as “Family Time Fridays” on the blog:) On Fridays, I will be taking time off in the afternoon to spend quality, fun time with my husband and kids. I feel in the busyness of life we all need to take a step back and just have downtime and that is what we do as a family every Friday, but I will officially be taking a few hours off every Friday afternoon to have that time with my husband and kids. Friday night is usually movie night at our house where we will rent a movie and then Jamie hooks it up to our projector and we watch it off the wall in our great room and feel like we are at the movie theater without the cost of the movie tickets or snacks. This has become a fun family tradition in our house and a way to spend time as a family. Also, every Friday we pick a different event to do as a family. . . i.e. bowling, going on a picnic and to the park. There are so many things that you can do for FREE. Family Time does not have to cost money, it is just time to spend together as a family, going for a walk, sitting down and just talking to your kids. The greatest thing we can give to our kids besides Christ is our attention and love.
Another inexpensive thing we have found is taking our kids to the movie, but we are cheap. . we will not go to the big theaters and pay full price so here is an alternative that we have found. . . in BG – Cinemark Woodland Mall Cinema 5 @ 1234 North Main Street, Bowling Green, OH 43402. The movies before 5 p.m. are only $3 per person and after 5 they are $5 for adults and still ONLY $3 for children.
Also you can sign up for FREE weekly concession e-mails!! So I would highly recommend taking your business here and saving a ton of money if you plan on taking your family to the movies!! Each week I will try to find different places to take your family for FREE/cheap as I feel FAMILY TIME is the most important time of a day after prayer and meditation so Fridays are officially declared “Family Time Fridays”.
If you know of FREE/cheap events or other fun ways that you spend with your family, please share with us.
