Philippians 4:12 says “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.” We need to be content in all situations at all times. Rejoice in the Lord always. Scripture does not say to only rejoice when things are going as we had planned, but to rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS!! Today, no matter what you are going through, choose Joy and REJOICE!!

God wants and deserves our BEST. So many times we spend a few minutes in prayer in the morning and at night because our schedule is too full and we are in a rush. If our life is too busy to spend time with Christ, then we need to slow down, because the MOST important thing in our life is Christ and aligning our lives with his. Today, take time to pray and meditate seeking God’s will for your life.

So many times our dreams and plans are limited by our “small vision” when using human eyes, but when we put on our “Jesus eyes” and look at how BIG our God is, we can dream God-Sized Dreams. Don’t allow your vision to cloud out what is possible with Christ. Today, start Dreaming God-Sized Dreams.

Real servants make themselves available to serve. Servants don’t fill up their time with other pursuits that could limit their availability. They want to be ready to jump into service when called on. If you only serve when it’s convenient for you, you’re not a real servant. We need to have eyes and ears like Jesus and be ready when the need and calling arises. Today ask God how he would have you serve.

So many times we become discouraged because we are in the midst of a storm. We need to remember that Jesus endured the Cross, for the joy of winning us. No matter what we are going through we need to remember God is right beside us (Maybe even carrying us) and we just need to trust his plan and focus on him.

JANUARY DAILY DEVOTION 1/17

That is sometimes hard for us to swallow when we have our life all figured out, but God has different plans. We need to be able to give up the “plans” we had for our lives so God can complete the PLANS he has for our lives.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Pray for God to use your life how he wants to use your life and then be obedient knowing his plans are for us to prosper 🙂

Rather than telling God how BIG your problem is, tell your problem how BIG God is. We need to look upward and not outward and things NEVER seem as bad when we give it to God. Today, Trust in the one who created us knowing he is in the business of Miracles 🙂

DAILY DEVOTION 1/14

We need to learn how to handle adversity in the right way.  God has promised that He will turn our challenges into stepping stones for increase.  So many when they face adversity talk about the problem to everyone and then as a last resort take it to the Lord in prayer.  We are doing it backwards, we need to go to God first in prayer and give him our heavy hearts.  He wants to be the first one we run to (or kneel) in every aspect of our lives.  Today no matter what you are facing, take it to the Lord in prayer and leave it with him.
