This is the e-mail I received “I know a young family that…has 4 children (ages 1 week, 3 yr., 5 yr., 7 yr.) and the mother passed away on Saturday from “complications” from giving birth. They are collecting diapers and Good Start formula along with gift cards to restaurants to help the young father as he raises these four precious children.”
I personally do NOT know this family but was contacted by someone that does and I think this is such a tangible way to be the hands and feet of Jesus. I was asked by many of you from out of state to start a Chipin Fund so you all could get involved, so that is what I have done. We need to step up and stand in the gap for this family. Every donation matters, do not discount the smallness of any gift, yes, if you can only donate $1, God will multiply that. Jesus performed the miracle with 5 loaves and 2 fish and he can do the same with your $1!! With any money we receive we will be making a donation to the father to use however he sees fit for himself and the children (CHRISTmas is only 2 months away). There is also a fund set up at a bank in IN, which I have included below.
Reghan Nellans was just 31 years old when she died Saturday, less than a week after giving birth to her fourth child.
Here is Reghan’s complete obituary
Checks can be mailed to Lake City Bank, PO Box 543, Mentone, IN 46539 and labeled “Nellans Children Fund”.
Since we have permission from the church, I ask that all donations tangible and monetarily be sent directly to church unless you would like to make a donation through the Chipin Fund HERE. If you are sending checks to the church, please make them out to “Marc Nellans” (dad/husband). The address is Harrison Center Church 965 S 800 W Etna Green, IN 46524. I also feel that we need to do a diaper/formula drive for this family so the dad does not have to worry about that. If you are interested in donating diapers or formula, please send to the above church address. Image what a blessing this would be for him! Please remember to also pray for this family and these children. This is devastating, but God is good. . yes, even in tragedy and adversity. HIS ways are much better than ours. It makes no sense to the ones left behind, but God has a plan and we need to trust in that.
Thanks for considering and thanks for ALWAYS stepping up and being the hands and feet of Jesus!
GOD IS GOOD. . .ALL THE TIME!!

Hi Joni. This touched my heart in so many ways. I live In the Pittsburgh, PA area and I would like to contribute. I don’t have much but I can send new toothbrushes and toothpastes for the kids and the dad. I can also contribute some diapers as well. I will have to send the items through the mail. Should the box be sent to the Harrison Church? 🙂 Many blessings.
