#StigmaFree
As most of you know I have been dealing with anxiety and panic attacks for the last two years. Here is a post that I did describing what it is like living with anxiety/panic attacks. It isn’t fun, but it is more scary and depressing when you try to do it alone. I have found that speaking about it and reaching out to others is the best medicine for me.
It is nothing to be ashamed of. If I had diabetes or hypertension, I would be able to speak openly about it. I also did a FB LIVE video of me having a panic attack.
Because I think more awareness needs to be brought out about Mental Illness I have decided to do the NAMI walk this year and am hoping many of you will join me. The super cool thing is even if you are not local, you can still sign up and be a virtual walker. Let’s get at least 20-30 people signed up under our team #TeamAnxietyWarriors
I’m going to try to do the 5K, but my family is going to walk and I hope you will too. This is a great way to support mental health and my anxiety disorder and my 3 youngest boys ADHD from drug exposure – anyone want to join me for your own personal reasons?
