You all know when I dream, I dream BIG. . Because I am dreaming God-sized dreams. . . so Jamie and I have been praying and meditating and this is our latest vision (that we feel is God inspired) . . We would like to once a month do something BIG to bless others in the name of Jesus. . SO with that said here is THE VISION for February. . . I would love if others would get involved with us. .. So we are thinking to go to the Laundromat in the inner-city of Toledo and for 3-4 hours pay for everyone’s laundry. . that means pay for their clothes to be washed, dried, and provide the laundry detergent, softener, etc. We CANNOT do this alone, but we know with God, all things are possible so I am coming to see if any of you would be interested in helping us make this happen. . . we still need to work out logistic with the laundromat, but how cool would that be for people to show up to do their laundry to find out they are being blessed? I am so excited.. . let me know if you would be willing to help, provide change, laundry detergent, or softener by commenting or sending me an email at joni@freetastesgood.com !! Thanks in advance everyone and please pray for God to be Glorified!! I am also asking for everyone to read this to please share with everyone you know:)
**UPDATE:
UPDATE ON LAUNDROMAT Ministry –
We have had people visit both the Laundromat on Monroe Street by Toledo Hospital and the one on Broadway by Western (downtown). . The Broadway is in a little worse economic area. . They have 30 regular washers ($1.75) 10 washers ($3.50) and 10 washers ($4.50). They have approximately 30-35 dryers $0.25/7 minutes. . they stated takes about $1.50 to dry clothes/bedding thoroughly. so we are thinking if we provide FREE service for 4-5 hours, we would need to raise approximately $1100 and that would be with ALL washers and dryers going constantly. We would also need laundry detergent and softener and my real vision would be to have donuts and coffee/hot cocoa to give out and also make up care packages that the families can take if they need them. I am waiting for both owners to get back with me to let me know if they would allow it. I am thinking of accepting donations via paypal with the FUNdraising thermometer so everyone can see where we are. Paypal charges a little over 2% but is by far the cheapest way to accept money as GoFundMe charges 5% and then 3% to get funds so that is a NO GO for sure. We are praying about this some more tonight and I would ask you all to join us and we will make a decision tomorrow and if it is a go, then we will start the FUNdraiser and try to bless as many people as we can. Just think it would only take 1100 people donating $1 to make this happen. . Lives would be changed all for the GLORY OF GOD!!!!!!

Joni, what a Great idea. I recently toured Western Ave Ministries and they said Laundry was a big issue for them. Sometimes it is easier for people to go get free clothes than it is to wash them. If this works out, maybe you could contact Western Ave and they could make sure people were there that really could use the blessing? GREAT GREAT IDEA!

You should use Square Cash instead of Paypal asit is free to send money. We use that at our church for fund raisers and such. Great idea. I’m new to couponing and am having a great time learning with free and cheap deals to donate. So far I have about 5 grocery sacks full of stuff that I just paid tax for. Yippee! I’m excited. Looking forward to March when we have our women’s shelter drive so I can bless some women with personal care items.
