The Pizza Pasta Bake is one we just love and another one we make our own sauce for. Again you can save time by picking up a large jar of your favorite sauce if you like, but homemade always makes the difference.
Freezer to Crockpot Pizza Pasta Bake Recipe
One tip we found in making these freezer meals is to boil your pasta when you are ready to serve. It’s hard to judge when and how much pasta to add to the slow-cooker. Put in too much and it absorbs all of your sauce, too early and the pasta just gets mushy and not what you want. So boil and add about 15 minutes before you are going to serve.
For all freezer meals make sure to label your freezer bag with the name of the recipe, cooking instructions, and prep date. Freezer meals can be frozen for up to 3 months.

- Rigatoni noodles, cooked
- 15 oz pizza sauce

- Finely chop onion and green pepper
- Cook the onions, green peppers, and ground beef in a pan over med-high heat.
- Brown thoroughly and drain grease.
- Let the hamburger mixture cool before putting in a gallon-size freezer bag.
- Once cool, mix all ingredients in a gallon-size freezer bag, except the Rigatoni Noodles.
- Label with name of recipe, cooking instructions, and prep date (Can freeze up to 3 months)
- Allow to defrost overnight in the refrigerator.
- Dump in the crockpot and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours
- Add cooked Rigatoni Noodles 15 minutes before you are going to serve
We love to serve this with a side salad and garlic bread – AWESOME!!
Here are some other awesome things about freezer-to-crockpot meals:
- Most of these meals require no cooking ahead of time, so that means the recipes are very easy to prep.
- The meals cook for the first time out of the freezer so they don’t taste like leftovers (BUT leftovers are okay right?!)
- For us that coupon, we can take advantage of all the sales and freeze a couple at a time. (Most freezer meals will last for at least 3 months.)
