**DAY 316 CHALLENGE**
Today, I challenge everyone to get involved in this wonderful ministry of the Broken Chains Church called the Fringe Thrift Store located at the Woodland Mall, 1234 N. Main Street, Bowling Green, OH 43402 – Most clothes items are $1. shoes are $1. Housewares super cheap. Donations accepted. Good condition clothing only. They do not sell torn or stained clothing. Store hours: Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday 10am-7pm; Tuesday and Friday 10-6pm (church days). Closed Sunday, Monday.
The Fringe Thrift Store Mission Statement: The thrift store serves as an outreach of Broken Chains Church, and exists for three primary purposes including 1) job training/mentoring, 2) provision of clothing/household items to low income individuals, and 3) generating revenue for operating expenses of Broken Chains Church.
Job training/mentoring
Individuals in need of job skills, such a those recently released from the Correctional System or lacking an employment history will receive basic training in professional behavior, inventory stocking, and customer service.
Provision of clothing/household items to low income individuals
The thrift store will offer all items at the lowest possible prices. In the event that an individual is in need of clothing due to an emergency, such as following a house fire, they will receive a store voucher for free items. Store vouchers will be authorized by Pastoral staff or store shift managers.
Generating revenue for operating expenses of Broken Chains Church
Proceeds from sales at the thrift store will be deposited into the general operating fund of Broken Chains Church. Any funds in excess of operating expenses including rent, utilities, transportation, and maintenance expenses will be put towards Community Center outreaches under development, such as homeless housing, transportation, food pantry, and addiction recovery support.
I am thrilled at your interest in our ministry, and I appreciate any promotion you can help with.
Items needed for the church/ministry include food pantry items, canned meats, diapers, hygiene items.
Who’s in? I am praying that everyone gets involved in this. None of us can help everyone, but all of us can help someone, and when we do we serve Jesus. We can make an impact in our communities, one life at a time!!
