365 Days of Kindness ~ Day 168
So many AMAZING stories from the 365 Days of Kindness so far and we have only completed 167 Random Acts of Kindness! If you would like to share your story, GO HERE!! It is so encouraging and exciting to watch God at work. THANK YOU JESUS!!
I will start posting the night before so everyone can like and share with their friends and family. Let’s get everyone we know involved in this movement of 365 Days of Kindness.
**DAY 168 CHALLENGE**
Today, I challenge everyone to get involved with the SC Department of Corrections (yes, inmates). Let’s show the love of Jesus in such a tangible way.
Here is the information I received:
I need some help getting together some graduation packages for the SCDOC Ministry Graduation. A detailed list has to be submitted to the Warden for approval but these are the things that I have been told they will allow in the packages. I am very humbled and honored to be able to help this group of men by providing a gift package for all of their hard work they are doing within the SC Prisons with Ministry.
There are 26 men graduating so I need 26 of each item.
- Toothbrushes – 26 individual packaged toothbrushes
- Lotion- Any lotion will work as long as it can be used by men.
- Body Wash for Men
- Qtips
- Bar Soap -26 individually boxed bar soaps.
- Face Wash ~ alcohol free.
- Powder
They have 2 graduating classes a year where the men take these classes 5 days a week for 6 months and when they graduate they go out and minister to the rest of the prison. Some of them are given the opportunity of a College Education in Ministry!
SCDOC is SC Dept of Corrections. These men hand out bibles and pray with every inmate that is processed into the prison system all across SC. They transfer them around to minister to the inmates.
If you can help please email Beth at cherokeemoon2010@gmail.com ASAP. Make sure to include a 365 Days of Kindness Card (YOU CAN PRINT THE CARDS ABOVE BY CLICKING HERE IF YOU’D LIKE). They say, “Please recycle this card and pass it on!” The hope is the recipient will then use the card to pass the blessing on to someone else and it will continue and NEVER end. Who’s in? I am praying that everyone gets involved in this. None of us can help everyone, but all of us can help someone, and when we do we serve Jesus. We can make an impact in our communities, one life at a time!!
GOD IS GOOD. . ALL THE TIME!!
