Hate cannot drive out hate:  Only love can do that

I just feel very convicted to write this post about all these HATE demonstrations that are going on and the protests. For what it’s worth, I am so tired of HATE. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr said it best “Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that”.

So all these protesters going to protest what the haters are doing. .. you are doing exactly what they want you to. You are giving them attention for their demonstrations. While they are demonstrating HATE, why not demonstrate LOVE. What does that look like. To me, in every city that these demonstrations are going on, do a FREE laundry day, pay for the person behind you in line at a drive thru, do a food drive, do to a gas station and pump people’s gas (that doesn’t cost a dime, but shows that everyone matters).

While some people are out spreading hate, we can be out spreading LOVE, paying no attention to their demonstrations, but overpowering it with our message of LOVE. Rather than complaining about what is going on, we can all do a small part and make this a better world – it starts with EACH OF US!!! Love you all!!!

TATTOO ARTIST:  Jared Wittler

I know many of you have followed the story of our son, Jonah. If not, go here and you can read all Jonah’s Journey. Jonah has been a fighter since the day we got him, but back in November we found out he had a very rare heart condition. So rare, he is only the sixth person in the world with this condition.

After 3 heart catheterizations and many tests, it was decided he needed open heart surgery. He underwent this February 23, 2017 at the U of M Motts Children’s Hospital.

He has had a few hiccups in the road to recovery, but overall is doing well. His heart was going into junctional rhythm (an abnormal rhythm) quite frequently after surgery. As I have watched him battle I made the decision to get a tattoo.

I decided to put it on my wrist as that is where our pulse is checked.

I just LOVE it – looks better today after the swelling and redness is gone! A tribute to our son, Jonah, and his heart condition, our faith in God, and his LOVE of soccer!! I was going to put the cross at the end, but decided it needed to be at the beginning as Jonah started with God hearing our prayer for a boy. When the prayers started we had no idea our prayer would be answered through adoption, but it has been an amazing journey!!

Today, as I was searching through my entertainment book (which I might add I absolutely love) I found a coupon for a B1G1 FREE putt putting golf course in Temperance, MI and we decided to try it out. . IT IS AWESOME!
