365 Days of Kindness ~ Day 232

**DAY 232 CHALLENGE**

Today, I challenge everyone to donate care packages to the less fortunate. My husband works with a gentleman whose church has an NA meeting on Fridays and we have chosen them to make up these care packages for. All of the items shown we have gotten for free over the last few weeks. It cost nothing out of pocket to us, but will be a huge blessing to the ones receiving it:)

Two of my children helped me package these up and prayed for over each individual bag. Their prayer was simple. . “Dear Heavenly Father, please bless the person receiving this care package. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen”. Such a simple prayer, but the power behind it. We have also attached a 365 Days of Kindness card. (YOU CAN PRINT THE CARDS BY CLICKING HERE).  The object of this is that they will receive it and use the card to do another act of kindness.  None of us can help everyone, but all of us can help someone, and when we do we serve Jesus and lives can be changed by small acts of kindness!!  It is such a cool way to show the love of Jesus.

**DAY 231 CHALLENGE**

Today, I challenge everyone to donate some back-to-school supplies to a family you know in need, a local church, or other collection spot. Even if you can only donate one item, DO IT!! It all matters and will bless someone! I have also attached a 365 Days of Kindness card. (YOU CAN PRINT THE CARDS BY CLICKING HERE).  The object of this is that they will receive it and use the card to do another act of kindness.  None of us can help everyone, but all of us can help someone, and when we do we serve Jesus and lives can be changed by small acts of kindness!!  It is such a cool way to show the love of Jesus.

**DAY 230 CHALLENGE**

Today, I challenge everyone to donate 5-items (nonperishable or hygienic) to a local food bank, shelter, or family you may know in need.  Please remember food stamps ONLY cover foods so many families have to go without the necessities, i.e. toothpaste, feminine care products, deodorant, etc.  These items are always greatly appreciated.  Please  also include one of the 365 Days of Kindness cards  HERE or make your own.   Who’s in? I am praying that everyone gets involved in this. None of us can help everyone, but all of us can help someone, and when we do we serve Jesus. We can make an impact in our communities, one life at a time!!

**DAY 229 CHALLENGE**

Copycat Recipe for Bob Evan’s Strawberry Supreme Pie 

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
2 pints fresh strawberries, washed and hulled, divided
3 tablespoons strawberry gelatin
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 (9 inch) baked pie shells
cream, for garnish

Directions

1. Combine sugar and cornstarch; set aside.

2. Crush (don’t puree) one pint of berries in blender or with potato masher,
and add enough water to make 1 1/2 cups.

3. In saucepan, bring crushed berries to a boil over medium heat, stir in
sugar and cornstarch all at once. Stir constantly until thick and clear.

4. Remove from heat and add strawberry gelatin. Stir until gelatin is
dissolved. Set aside.

5. Mix cream cheese and 1 tablespoon of hot cooked berries; spread mixture
over baked pastry shell.

6. Stand the uncooked whole berries, stem end down, on top of cream cheese.

7. Pour hot cooked berries over whole berries.

8. Refrigerate until set, about 3 hours.

9. Garnish with whipped cream and serve.

Today, I challenge everyone to bake cookies or cupcakes or any treat (we are making the peanut butter brownies above) or even store bought and take to a public service worker, i.e. fire station, police station, etc.  It could even be your local bank, gas station, or hair salon.  Make sure to attach a ‘Thank you” and also include one of the 365 Days of Kindness cards  HERE!   Who’s in? I am praying that everyone gets involved in this. None of us can help everyone, but all of us can help someone, and when we do we serve Jesus. We can make an impact in our communities, one life at a time!!

**DAY 200 CHALLENGE**

**This will start being our challenge every Friday. I want us to send a card to a stranger in every state. Each week, pick a different state and just keep track of it. Then weeks 51 and 52 we will send a CHRISTmas Card and a New Year Card.**

So today, I am challenging everyone to send a “thinking of you” or “encouraging” card to a complete stranger.  Now this is the fun part. . . How are we going to find that stranger?  Honestly, I am sooooooo excited I can’t hardly stand it:)

**DAY 226 CHALLENGE**

Today, I challenge everyone to send a thinking of you or get well card to Melinda’s grandmother. She had knee replacement surgery last week. She will be staying at the nursing home for several weeks.

**DAY 225 CHALLENGE**

Today, I challenge everyone to  go to a laundromat and donate a bottle of laundry detergent or fabric softener, etc and included a tag that says “Take Me I’m FREE”.    You can print the tags HERE.   I put a 365 Days of Kindness card inside so the person receiving it can pass it on –  (YOU CAN PRINT THE CARDS BY CLICKING HERE). If you are not sure where a laundromat is, you can go to an apartment complex and most of them will have a laundromat.  If it is locked, go to the office and drop the supplies off.  My vision is that this will continue and continue until EVERYONE is involved in some capacity.    Who’s in? I am praying that everyone gets involved in this. None of us can help everyone, but all of us can help someone, and when we do we serve Jesus. We can make an impact in our communities, one life at a time!!
