Take a Stance Against Bullying – PLEASE HELP!!

If you have been following our blog long, you know that our 12-year-old son, Isaiah, as endured significant bullying. Finally about 3 months ago we reached out to Special K (Kevin Daley) from the Harlem Globetrotters (he just retired end of February) and he has made a huge impact on Isaiah’s life. He has advocated for Isaiah, called him, sent him an autographed jersey, emailed him, etc, and Isaiah drew him a picture and you can see the above tweet. Now tell me, as a 12-year-old boy that not being the coolest thing EVER!! He has stood in the gap for Isaiah when Isaiah was at his lowest point. He is a man that Isaiah looks up to and also a man that Isaiah knows he can talk to. For someone being bullied, to know “your hero” is on your side makes all the difference. I am not saying Isaiah’s pain is going away, but to know he has a “buddy” has helped him. So many “famous” people say they stand for X, Y, Or Z, but when the cameras are not on them, how do they react/act. Well, I can tell you Kevin has done this all behind the scenes, which is totally commendable. Because he has made such a huge impact on our family, and so many of you have shared you have personally experienced bullying within your family, I am asking every single one of you to step up to Help Kevin win $100,000 for his Foundation to #STOPBULLYING. I am also asking you to share with as many people as you know. Kevin is a true hero to our family and deserves to win. I am confident he will make a huge impact in many communities with the $100,000. All you have to do is GO HERE and Vote for “Kevin Daley”. You can vote 3x a day. It will ONLY take 30 seconds, but remember that 30 seconds could change a child’s life significantly. We ALL need to take a stance against bullying and this is such an easy way. Please know this will make a huge impact on so many kids’ lives that are being bullied. He deserves to win!! This is one man I can assure you will be the voice for our kids when nobody else will listen to them. He has touched our hearts in a tremendous way and we are praying all of you get involved, vote for him, share this with everyone you know, and let’s help a #truehero win!

So many AMAZING Random Acts of Kindness Stories from the 365 Days of Kindness from last year and so far this year! If you would like to share your story, GO HERE!! Let’s get everyone we know involved in this movement of the 365 Days of Kindness:)

Today, I challenge everyone to pray and ask God who he would have you bless.  Pray and then truly be cognizant as the day goes on who God is directing you to bless.  It may be as simple as a smile, a kind word, or going out of your comfort zone, but no matter what it is, PLEASE be sure to do it!! We have been doing this and carrying our FREE Act of Kindness Cards that (YOU CAN PRINT BY CLICKING HERE). The purpose of printing the cards is that the recipient can then recycle it and pass the card on by doing another random act of kindness. My vision is that this will continue and continue until EVERYONE is involved in some capacity. Who’s in? I am praying that everyone gets involved in this. None of us can help everyone, but all of us can help someone, and when we do we serve Jesus. We can make an impact in our communities, one life at a time!!
